Colonial & Modern Lima City Tour

A tour of the best of colonial and modern Lima, including the most imposing colonial churches and mansions such as the Government Palace, Plaza Mayor, the City and the Cathedral and the Convento de San Francisco, jewels of the sixteenth century colonial architecture. On our way to southern and modern Lima City, we will stop by the Larco Museum, which is located in an impressive 18th century colonial mansion built over a 7th century pyramid. The museum overlooks a colourful garden that won the prize for the best garden in Lima in 2009 in its category. It has recently been renovated and displays a remarkable collection of pre-Columbian art including crowns, earrings, nose ornaments, garments, masks and vases, and jewelry finely wrought in gold and decorated with semi-precious stones.
